The Department for Social Responsibility and Sustainability within the University of Edinburgh offers a number of opportunities for students to undertake experiential learning. Of particular interest are a variety of work based placements, volunteer positions, and a new series of co-curricular pathways.

It also offers academics and support staff opportunities to get involved with teaching and research collaborations, provides funding for ideas and project proposals looking at ways to reduce the university’s impact upon the environment, administers the Sustainability Award scheme, as well as offering practical advice on making individual work areas and practices more environmentally sustainable.
