Applied Carbon Methods

The Applied Carbon Methods course is primarily aimed at postgraduate students enrolled on the MSc Carbon Management programme, to teach them applied research skills in preparation of their dissertation and future employment. In addition to lectures and seminars covering interdisciplinary research techniques and methodologies, students work on an external consultancy project with a local small to medium sized company to produce a carbon management analysis. This is done in partnership with the Carbon Trust, giving students professional experience of working to national regulatory frameworks, and offering local businesses an opportunity to improve their environmental sustainability.
